Not for the low-voltage LED systems we install. A transformer steps household power down to a safe low voltage, so there's no exposed line-voltage wiring in your yard. We handle the entire installation, including the transformer connection.

Very little. Modern low-voltage LED fixtures use a small fraction of the energy older halogen lights did, so even a full-property lighting scene adds only a little to your electric bill, and the LEDs last for years before they need replacing.

You can buy DIY kits, but a professional design is the difference between a few stake lights and a scene that flatters your whole home. We design on-site at dusk, place each fixture for the right effect, hide the wiring, and use commercial-grade fixtures built for New England weather.

It depends on the effect you want: uplighting trees and architecture, grazing textured walls, lighting paths and steps for safe footing, and accenting or silhouetting garden beds. We plan the placement around your home's best features during the dusk walkthrough.

Yes, for the systems we installed. We maintain, upgrade, and expand low-voltage LED landscape lighting that P.J. Pappas originally installed, including replacing fixtures and adding new zones or smart controls. We don't service lighting systems installed by another company.
