Our Story
From a pickup truck and a shovel.
Peter Pappas and his father started P.J. Pappas Company back in 1986 with nothing more than a pickup truck and a shovel. Backed by a University of Massachusetts degree in horticulture, Peter built the company into a trusted local specialist in lawn irrigation and landscape lighting, still owner-led, still family-run, and still doing the work himself alongside the crew. Four decades on, the focus hasn't drifted. We do two things: lawn irrigation and residential landscape lighting. That's deliberate. Both run on buried lines and low-voltage wiring through the same ground, so one crew can plan a yard as a whole instead of working around somebody else's trenches. We're a Rain Bird Select Contractor and a Kichler Gold Contractor, and we install FX Luminaire fixtures. Our home base is 83 Alexander Road in Billerica, and we're reachable Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm.
