I am extremely pleased with the work done by PJ Pappas. They installed a low voltage LED system to highlight my house and it looks BEAUTIFUL!! It’s also great for security reasons as my house is set way back and the street lights do not provide enough light to see my driveway. My entire house was done fast and efficient, and when my dog dug up one of the wires on the LED light, they came right back out to salvage what they could and reconnect the light for me! We bought low energy light fixtures which are bulb free so we don’t have to worry about replacing anything which is a huge plus! I really can’t say enough about my experience! I hired them to do my sprinkler system and had such a great experience that I used them for my lights too! Thanks again guys!!

Peter Pappas goes above and beyond what one would ever expect! He is a true professional; fair, honest. We have had our irrigation and lighting updated by him in the past. Since then, for maintenance purposes, we have had to call him to either add lighting or fix something that our kids broke. Every time we have called him, he has sent out someone the next day for us. Our most recent experience involved him fixing some wires that had been broken during our home renovation. We called him on a Sunday, and Monday his repair person showed up. The repair person left me a note, telling me he had been there, and would be back the next morning after he ordered the parts he needed to finish the job. The next morning, he was back out, and left another note saying the job was completed with a phone number in case we had any questions. Now, that is a professional!!! Communicates, has a sense of humor, and really cares about his company.

I contacted P.J. Pappas in the spring of 2000. They responded to my request in a timely manner and quoted me a price that was not only very competitive but the quality of the equipment for the irrigation system was better than the competition. I hired PJ Pappas immediately to install the irrigation system. Their work was fabulous; perfectly positioned sprinkler heads and a quick effect job. Not only did I have them install the system I also had Peter and his company install my landscape lighting and that was done just as well.

With regards to snow plowing, over the years there has been a level of service I’ve personally become accustomed to. For me, the blizzard of 2015 has raised the bar considerably! This is definitely a storm to remember as it generated the most local snowfall since this site was built 14+ years ago. Along with the heavy snowfall came blizzard conditions that lasted the entire day, the sustained winds made working the storm hard. Adding in the strong wind gusts, that were quite regular, and extremely cold temperatures the conditions bordered on unbearable throughout the storm.
Peter’s crew worked tirelessly throughout the day and night to keep the Woburn site clear. The team utilized the entire equipment arsenal which includes the latest addition, a Conant Industries self-powered snow blower attachment for the Caterpillar loader. In the past with storms delivering snowfall rates like this one we would fall behind and have to play catch up when the rate diminished. The addition of this piece, working in conjunction with his fleet of impeccably maintained trucks and Bobcat loaders, the team was able to stay on top of the storm throughout its duration. As direct a result of this effort the Woburn Raytheon buildings were ready to accept employees shortly after the snow stopped on Tuesday evening.
My hats off to the entire PJ Pappas team for not only getting the job done but also for working safely while doing it.

I first contracted Peter 2 years ago to revamp my irrigation system (builder’s special) and add landscape lighting. I had concerns with the installation that Peter got wind of through another contractor that I used. Peter exhibited fantastic business acumen and called me immediately to hear my concerns. He educated me about the system and his installation but as importantly, he listened. This can be a rare trait.
2 years later, my lawn is phenomenally green (the irrigation was clearly done right) and I hired Peter again to install additionally landscape lighting in the backyard. My home now looks like a resort.
More important that the initial work done right, Peter is incredibly responsive. I have called several times for items that have need adjustment or service and he arrives either the same day or the next. Any warranty items are covered without discussion – both time and materials. While Peter is not the cheapest, I firmly believe that in this case, you get EXACTLY what you pay for.
I would recommend PJ Pappas for irrigation or landscape lighting without hesitation.

On the day of my initial call Peter came right out and gave me a comprehensive estimate on an irrigation system and secondary water meter installation. While he was 5% more expensive than my other quotes he was much more detailed in the scope of his work and I felt he understood the plan better than the others. Before the job started Peter took the time to learn my wife and daughter’s names and made a point to say hello to them each time he came to the house. Again, before the project started Peter identified an issue with my current water meter and gave me several ideas on how to fix it that didn’t cost me a thing. Once I gave Peter a deposit he told me the work would start in 2 weeks, he started the project in 3 days. I have had a lot of work done on my house and have NEVER had a contractor start before they said they would. Peter and his crew were on time, very polite and cleaned up thoroughly before they left. I was shown how to use the equipment and told to call with any issues. I called Peter 3 days later to tell him about a head that was rotating too far and assumed he would come over with in a week to fix it, he showed up that day and took care of the issue. I have recommended PJ Pappas to a number of coworkers and will continue to do so.
I just want to let you know that I really appreciate what you and your team have done to upgrade and bring my system back on-line. Your organization is absolutely first-rate. Please extend my thanks to your entire team!

After a rather rocky start I finally met Peter and explained we had inherited a poorly installed {irrigation} system which I knew nothing about and had in the mean time done a lot of landscaping which did not help the system. Peter and his crew have repaired, replaced and updated the {irrigation} system to customize all the landscaping I have done and explained everything. Great job, with so little damage to my landscaping, it is quite remarkable. He and his crew turned up on the days they said they would, which is unusual for a great number of people, and were pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone and look forward to years of great landscape gardening without having to worry if I go away for any period of time.

Peter Pappas arranged to meet for an estimate promptly and showed up when he said he would. Workers showed up within a couple of days when Mr. Pappas said the work would be performed. At least eight workers showed up with what looked like state of the art equipment and both my front and back yards were finished within three to four hours. Workers were very efficient and did what I consider a very good job. They left my yard looking neat and there was not a lot of evidence of the work that was just performed. The supervisor took the time to explain the programing of the timer in detail.

As a new customer, I want to say that I was very pleased with the first encounter I had with your company. I had an irrigation system installed six years ago. It is a Rain Bird Equipment system and works well. The company that installed it correctly, but I found it difficult to do business with them once it was installed. For the past few years, I only contracted a service (Sprinkler Man) to turn the system on and off.
I recently had a new brick walkway installed and your Web Site caught my eye. It is a very impressive Web Site and your offering is extensive. I saw the mid season tune up and the sentence “Sometimes sprinkler systems need to be adjusted or maybe your landscape has changed.” And this was exactly what happened to me and what I needed.
After making a call to Pappas to explain the situation and that I was no longer a customer of any other company, Pappas sent Brent out the next day. Brent was professional, knowledgeable and very helpful making suggestions that he was prepared to implement immediately because he had all the system components on the truck, which was another indication that I was dealing with a company that is prepared to repair, replace or modify a system without having to make another appointment. Bottom line is
that because off the responsiveness of the company and Brents exceptional first impression on me and my wife we are now customers. We will also be looking at the landscape lighting services that your company offers as well

We’ve enjoyed a beautiful lawn and plantings for many years thanks to a P. J. Pappas sprinkler system. But I’m over the top after Brent extended its reach for us this morning. His work ethic, knowledge, customer orientation, and enthusiasm are awesome! I had re-seeded a conspicuous area of lawn added since the original sprinklers were installed, and wanted to make the most of it. Brent arrived on schedule, discussed various solutions, and proposed a very affordable one to provide the coverage needed. Then he went right to work, digging sixteen feet of trenches by hand, relocating one head and adding a new one, and closed everything up leaving little evidence any work was done. All this in a little over an hour!

After interviewing over 3 irrigation companies and receiving their estimates, we chose P.J. Pappas to install our new irrigation system with the new weather station monitor. The equipment was high quality and the estimate was reasonable. Peter walked us through the process very carefully and fully answered all our questions. The crew installed a fairly large system in less than a half day. They kindly explained everything as they went including how to use the weather station and they left the grounds and diggings quite clean. Needless to say, we are very happy with our system and with Peter Pappas as our expert irrigation specialist.

We first contacted P.J. Pappas Company in the spring of 1998 when we first moved into our new house in Woburn, MA. Peter Pappas came out the same day and provided us with a detailed estimate and information about his company and services. We were very impressed with Peter and his company. We decided to wait on the having the irrigation system installed.
Seven years and two kids later, we were ready to have an irrigation system installed. We contacted Peter Pappas in August, 2005 and he not only remembered who we were but he also had our original specifications and estimate. Peter took the time to go over the changes and updates to the irrigation system and made us feel comfortable with the process.
Our landscaping project included having our front lawn and shrubs replaced. Peter and his team coordinated the installation of the irrigation system on schedule. The technicians were very helpful in explaining the operating system and continue to be readily available to answer questions and address any operating concerns.

Twelve years ago P.J. Pappas Company designed and installed an irrigation system for our home in Newton.
